The pillow is embroidered in a half-cross. The peculiarity of the stramin canvas is that at each intersection of the threads there is a colored square, which greatly facilitates the embroidery process. Thanks to the special impregnation of stamin, which makes the fabric stiff, no embroidery hoop is needed.
